Beekeeping Open Hive
Saturday, June 9, 11am – 1pm
Bees provide great local honey while also providing an ecological service as pollinators.
Learn the ins and outs of beekeeping from Tyler apiarist Paul Strommer. Participants will
explore the most important aspects of bee and hive maintenance in the spring and summer
months, learn about equipment, management techniques and bee biology. Veils will be provided
for all participants, allowing for a hands-on, interactive experience. Though bee stings happen rarely,
they are always a possibility. Please take any necessary precautions before attending the workshop.
$30 members, $40 non-members. Register online, click here.
