Personal Photographs
Tyler Arboretum is a beautiful location for photography. Visitors are encouraged to take photos at the Arboretum to capture beautiful scenery, colorful flowers, or priceless memories. With 650 acres of butterfly-filled gardens, open meadows, towering trees, and centuries-old structures, you are sure to find the perfect place to capture many incredible images. Photographs for personal use may be taken anywhere in the Arboretum. Our guided Photo Forays, which are free with admission, provide wonderful opportunities to join fellow enthusiasts and discover image opportunities that are not readily apparent(see Calendar and/or Education Programs for Photo Foray schedule).
Our plants and the insects, birds and animals on our property are precious to us – please do not walk into beds or otherwise damage plants or wildlife. Due to space limitations, tripod or monopod use is limited in the Butterfly House. Be respectful of other visitors by not blocking pathways or visitor access to any area of the Arboretum.
We welcome individual, family, engagement and senior class portraits; and other photography or portraiture intended for personal use only (i.e., not for commercial use). Regular Garden admission applies for all individuals.

Commercial Photography
Any use, reuse or reproduction by any means for commercial use without the express written consent of Tyler Arboretum is strictly prohibited. To obtain permission to use images for commercial purposes, schedule a photo shoot or filming session, or inquire about fees, please contact:

Bridal Photography
To ensure your special time is not shared by other couples, all wedding photography is scheduled through our catering partner, Jeffrey A. Miller Catering. Photo sessions may be up to one hour in length and are limited to outdoor spaces only. For fees, or to schedule your session, please contact:

Notice to Visitors
Periodically, Tyler Arboretum takes photographs and video of visitors and activities for use in promotional and editorial material. With admission into the Arboretum, you give permission to Tyler for the recording of photographs and/or video of yourself and other adults for educational, promotional, advertising and other purposes which advance the overall mission of Tyler Arboretum. All rights to the photographs and video belong to Tyler Arboretum. Photographers will be clearly identified. If you do not consent to this policy, please notify the photographer. Images of children will not be used without your permission.
