Why Volunteer?

These are just some of the many reasons Tyler volunteers give for wanting to get involved. Fortunately, there are as many varieties of jobs as there are people to fill them. And we always need help! For a non-profit organization like Tyler, volunteers are a vital resource that makes many of our programs and activities possible.

We invite you to join the dedicated group of volunteers who make Tyler Arboretum a very special place to visit. As a Tyler volunteer you will receive:
- A 15% discount in the Arboretum Shop
- 1 free admission pass when you begin volunteering, and 2 more passes for every 25 hours of volunteer service
- A free subscription to our quarterly newsletter, Tyler Topics

What can I do at Tyler?
Our volunteer opportunities range from:
- working with the Grounds Department
- leading School Field Trip groups
- guiding visitors on hikes and rambles
- working in the Arboretum Shop and Visitor Center
- conducting tours of our historic buildings
- working as an office assistant
- pitching in for special events and fundraisers

Consider volunteering at the Arboretum. Share your talents…continue learning...make new friends, and have fun. Volunteers play a vital role in the operation of the Arboretum. Their assistance enables us to expand and enhance all areas of the organization, and help us to grow as a community resource.
Please join us for coffee and baked goods while learning about the many volunteer opportunities that are available.
Staff and veteran volunteers will share their experiences and answer questions.
