Volunteering

Why Volunteer?

"I used to be a school teacher; I miss the kids. Combining my love of gardening and the outdoors with teaching seems like a great way to do something satisfying for myself and help Tyler."

"Our family had so much fun at Pumpkin Days last year, I decided this year I'd like to get involved."

"I'm too young to be totally retired. Could you use someone in the office one day a week?"

These are just some of the many reasons Tyler volunteers give for wanting to get involved. Fortunately, there are as many varieties of jobs as there are people to fill them. And we always need help! For a nonprofit organization like Tyler, volunteers are a vital resource that makes many of our programs and activities possible.

Old Clothes Needed for Pumpkin Days

Clean out your closets for a good cause!

Make-your-own scarecrows are a popular part of Tyler's annual Pumpkin Days celebration. But without your help, our scarecrows will be naked!

Donate your old jeans, pants, and long sleeved shirts. Our Scarecrows are not picky and we will gladly take any size, from child to adult.

Drop off your donated items in the Tyler's Visitor Center any time during regular hours of operation, up until October 10th.

Bakers Needed for Pumpkin Days

Fire up the oven and donate some home-baked goods to raise funds for Tyler.

Every year we sell out of our delicious home-baked goods in the Pumpkin Days café. Please help Tyler this year by donating your home baked goods.

Cakes, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, breads, and more are all welcome! Please label them (especially items with nuts) and deliver your baked goods to Tyler's Visitor Center on October 16th, 17th, or the 18th in the morning. (If you are volunteering at the event, you can bring your baked goods with you when you arrive to volunteer on the 18th or 19th.)

If you need to drop off your donated baked items another time, or if you have questions, please contact us.
