What is Tyler’s Annual Fund?
- Donations raised each year for day-to-day activities of the Arboretum, benefiting every visitor and member
- Your gifts support priorities: advancing environmental and plant education; preserving trees, green space, and historic buildings; and stimulating action on behalf of our living world
In 2010, gifts to Tyler’s Annual Fund:
- Expanded participation in children’s summer camps and field trips by 7% to address “nature deficit disorder” and enhance limited school resources
- Increased membership benefits and event offerings
- Maximized volunteer capacity with more supervision, training, and equipment
- Maintained and improved trails, natural lands, and historic plant collections in the North Woods and the Wister Rhododendron Garden, making them more accessible to all
- Provided more opportunities for families to connect to nature together through our Totally Terrific Treehouses and Nature’s Enchantment exhibits
