Come join us in the “wilds” of Tyler Arboretum for a four-hour, hands-on workshop designed to introduce you to the basics of wilderness survival. Any of us can end up in a situation where knowledge of a few basic skills can make the difference between life and death. In this workshop Mark Steele, a former Army officer with experience in woods, mountains, deserts and jungles, will help you prepare to meet that challenge. Perfect for hikers, campers, white water enthusiasts, hunters, anglers, mountain bikers, trail runners, Scouts and anyone who likes to be outdoors. Even if you like to “camp” from your couch and watch survival shows on TV – come out and join us for this hands-on learning experience.
Pre-registration required; $15 members, $20 non-members
