In the wild, key survival priorities include staying hydrated, signaling your rescuers and maintaining your body heat. There is one element that can help you with all three – fire. In this hands-on workshop, Mark Steele will lead you in an exploration and experience of fire making from prehistoric to modern methods. You will have the opportunity to try most of these methods and experience the steps necessary for successful fire building. Mark Steele is a former Army officer with experience in woods, mountains, deserts and jungles.
