Join Richard Brenner and Jado Foot for an exploration of some “jewels” of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Webb’ s Bog features many wildflowers including rare and endemic orchids, bog asphodel, pitcher plants, sundews and other beautiful flowering plants. The pygmy forest is a fascinating and unique pitch pine based ecosystem. We plan to view the wildflowers of both areas with some birding as a bonus. Bring a brown bag lunch, field guides and binoculars if you have them. Wear shoes that can get wet; insect repellant is suggested. Fee includes transportation, beverages and snacks.
