Call for Artisans

Tyler Arboretum invites artisans, community groups and schools to submit entries for this unique and fun exhibition. Spanning the summer season from May 26 to October 28, 2012, seats ranging from rustic, to modern, to whimsical will create a unique take on the idea of having a place to sit and enjoy the arboretum. Use this opportunity to display your artistic vision, promote your organization's mission or challenge your school class. Cash prizes will be awarded. Where there's something for everyone.
Open year round, the Arboretum encompasses 650 acres of horticultural collections, rare plant specimens, ancient trees, historic buildings and extensive hiking trails. People visit Tyler for many reasons; opportunities abound for all to learn about natural living systems through our diverse resources.

Pancake Breakfast & Maple Sugaring Celebration
Bundle up and enjoy this annual celebration of the maple tree’s yummy offerings.
School Holiday Mini-Camps
Easy-going days filled with discovery, games, crafts, hikes and projects so engaging, kids won't even know they're learning.
Mini-camp hours are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; for children 6 - 9 years old.
Extended care is available for $10 extra per day starting at 8:00 am and concluding at 5:00 pm.
Maple Sugaring
Monday, February 20, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Presidents' Day falls in the middle of maple sugaring season. Come to the Arboretum and learn about this sweet breakfast treat by tapping a tree, collecting sap, boiling it down, and enjoying delicious maple syrup snacks. In the afternoon, we will venture out to see what other plants are doing this time of year.
